What do you do, if you smell gas?

Do not telephone from your home!
Do not switch on anything electrical.
- Do not use the bell or the lift!
- No fl ames, no sparks!
Open windows and doors!
Close off the gas mains.
- Turn off the house gas and if possible also the main gas tap in the cellar.
Warn others living in the house.
- Knock on doors, do not ring bell (this could cause an explosion)!
Leave the house!
Dial 118!
- Once out of the danger area ring the fire brigade!
